Black Lives Matter was founded in 2013<\/strong> in response to the acquittal of Trayvon<\/strong> Martin<\/strong>\u2019s murderer.\u00a0 On July<\/strong> 17<\/strong>, 2014<\/strong>, an unarmed black man named Eric<\/strong> Garner<\/strong> died on Staten Island, N.Y., after police officers threw him to the ground and put him in a choke hold. Garner’s last words, as recorded on a cellphone video, were: “I can’t breathe.” He repeated the phrase 11 times.<\/p>\n State police have launched a criminal investigation after footage showing the violent arrest of a University of Virginia student son March<\/strong> 18<\/strong>, 2015<\/strong>, parked protests and prompted concern among top officials.\u00a0 Images of bloodied Martese<\/strong> Johnson<\/strong> being held down by an officer were shared widely online on Wednesday, along with footage of the black 20-year-old calling the cops handcuffing him “racists.”<\/p>\n On August<\/strong> 9<\/strong>, 2014<\/strong>,\u00a0Michael Brown Jr.<\/b>, an 18-year-old black man, was fatally shot by 28-year-old white Ferguson police officer\u00a0Darren Wilson<\/b> in the city of Ferguson, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. Oscar Grant III<\/b>\u00a0was a 22-year-old African-American man who was killed in the early morning hours of\u00a0New Year’s Day\u00a02008 by\u00a0BART Police<\/a>\u00a0Officer Johannes Mehserle in\u00a0Oakland, California.<\/p>\n On April 12, 2015,\u00a0Freddie Carlos Gray Jr.<\/b>, a 25-year-old African-American, was\u00a0arrested\u00a0by the\u00a0Baltimore Police Department<\/a> and subsequently charged for possessing a knife.\u00a0 <\/sup>While being transported in a\u00a0police van, Gray fell into a\u00a0coma<\/a>\u00a0and was taken to the\u00a0R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/sup><\/sup>Gray died on April 19, 2015; his death was ascribed to injuries to his\u00a0spinal cord.\u00a0 <\/sup>On April 21, 2015, pending an investigation of the incident, six Baltimore police officers were suspended<\/p>\n All of these high profiled tragadies occured during the presidency elect and POTUS tenure of Barack Obama.\u00a0 These very clouded life situations came crashing down long before President Trump was even thought to have a shot at the White House.\u00a0 Yet, with only one year into the job all things racial were thown into his lap and later being the cause and instigator.\u00a0 All things police badness is being thrown at the current POTUS, where his predecessor is walking around as though he tackled these problem areas with concern and success.\u00a0 But, it is just opposite where he left this nation in the lurch of an unattebded domestic attacked against youth, females, and blacks.<\/p>\n
